This Shelf is All Alone, Bare, and Attached to a Wall.

Sometimes it is best to just come out and say it, whatever it is that is eating away at you, not just because it is true, but because it is eating away at you. So I will. I will tell you right now this thing that has been eating away at me. Friends, I’ve lived a life obsessed with shelves, and it has been a lonely, lonely one. Aside from a handful of humanitarian family members, and you readers, I have no one in my life. And at last count my monthly “unique visitor” hits on this blog are dwindling, so after my sister and mom die, all I will have is about 14 unique visitors to this site, per month. No one to share my passion for shelves, except for 14 unique visitors to this site. (On average.) (Last month there were 10.) I live a lonely, lonely life. And it is only going to get worse.

But hey, you may think you’re out of storage space, but look around you. Notice anything? How about the walls. How about a wall mounted shelf? This Board Style Wall Shelf is a terrific piece for any room in your home. Use it in your bathroom to store toiletries. Mount it in your bedroom to display photos, and favorite collectibles. A wall mounted shelf in the living room can be used to display a vase of flowers, as well as a collection of books. Or pictures of loved ones, if you have any loved ones. This Board Style Wall Shelf can support up to 80 pounds. The Board Shelf is made of composite wood, and can be wiped clean with a damp cloth. Mount to studs or to drywall with the included hardware. All mounting hardware is included. And so on.

I am so lonely. So very lonely.

The Board Style Wall Shelf. Highly Recommended.

If the available space in your work place (office, warehouse, store) is rapidly running out, and there isn’t enough wall space, think about using free standing shelving and storage units as the solution.

To make sure you pick the right solution for your storage problem you need to do a bit of thinking……
■You need to work out what you’re looking to store on the shelving units. This will determine the depth of the shelf, as well as the width and the space you require between the shelves.
■Then work out how high you can reach, from the floor you need to work on a maximum shelf height of around the 2100mm mark. If you have the added advantage of a set of safety steps in your workplace, then you can of course go higher – but bear in mind the weight you store on the top level and how easy its going to be to take it off and carry down the steps.
■Once you know the height of the shelving, and you have the height you would like between the shelves you need to divide the height by the gap you want to give you the required number of shelves in the height.
■You now have the height of the shelving, the depth of the shelving and the number of shelf levels you need, now work out what length of wall space or indeed free space you have. Standard shelving bays can be anything from 900mm wide (knock together shelving) to 2400mm wide (longspan shelving). A lot of the time the choice is based upon aesthetics of the shelving system. Longspan looks more industrial, but clip together shelving for an office would look out of place in a warehouse.
■Loading will also be a factor in helping to determine the shelving system that is right for the job in hand.

Alternatively, you could simply call in a specialist supplier of shelving and racking systems, whom would be happy to….
■Determine what you want to store.
■Work out the heights, depths, widths and numbers of shelves to maximise the available storage space.
■Work out how many bays of shelving, how many runs of shelving you need to meet your needs.
■Provide you with a CAD drawing (Normally a few days after their visit), along with a detailed quotation, detailing price, specification, features and benefits of the proposed system.

When looking for a potential shelving and racking supplier you really need to make sure you are talking to an expert with a knowledge of not just his/her own products, but also their competitors products – this will enable them to see the best solution to the problem and specify the best product for the job.
